My name is Elizabeth Ten-Hove, and I’ve been learning to cook since I was twelve years old. Kitchen Lark chronicles my continuing adventures in that department as I explore new tastes, recipes, and techniques.

I grew up as a vegetable-hating vegetarian near Berkeley, California. After moving to Massachusetts, I developed severe malnutrition, saw the light, and now enjoy munching on just about everything. Especially mushrooms.

Now I’m a student in the beautiful and foodie-filled city of Montreal. I spend my days reading dead languages, dabbling in the world of theatre, and trying to practice French. In the evenings I lay down my pen, put on my pinnie, and make glorious messes in the kitchen.
